Weddings at Llechwedd

Weddings at Llechwedd are a truly unique and memorable experience. Get married in the deepest location in the UK licensed for weddings in the stunning surroundings of chamber nine of the Llechwedd Deep Mine, along with it's breathtaking underground lake - an incredible location for those all important wedding photographs.

The hand carved chamber makes a stunning backdrop for a truly unique ceremony and comfortably holds up to seventy people.

Completing the experience, and new for 2021, our twenty-four bedroom boutique hotel - Plas Weunydd, is the perfect venue for the wedding formalities and celebrations. Plas Weunydd's spacious bar and restaurant seats up to eighty guests inside, with outdoor seating offering views towards the Vale of Ffestiniog. The hotel also includes a Bridal Suite as part of the hotel package, so when the dancing ends you can head to the room with the best view in the house!
