Assumption of risks
Remember that you will be staying on an old quarry site with potentially dangerous slopes. There is also part of the quarry that is still working so be aware that there are heavy trucks travelling on site. Also you must be aware that some of the tent equipment (such as the log burner) may be dangerous if misused. Whilst we take great care to keep you safe, accidents can happen and we are not responsible for such accidents (to the greatest extent permitted by law). It is your responsibility to supervise any children. If you notice that any equipment looks faulty and/or unsafe you must inform The Slate Caverns as soon as possible. We strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance against the risk of accidents and your stay being cut short.
We want you to enjoy your visit with us so if you are unhappy then please talk to a manager immediately. We will try to resolve the matter as soon as possible. If you complain after the end of your visit we will have greater difficulty in rectifying the problem.
In principle, it is permitted to receive visitors during your stay at The Slate caverns. These visitors must report themselves to the front desk at The Slate Caverns.
All our tents are dog friendly. We allow a maximum of two dogs to stay and dogs are allowed onsite. We ask that you keep your dog under control and on a lead during your stay. The tents are surrounded by sheep on the hillside and mountain bike routes are close by. We do ask you to keep dogs off the bedding and furniture. If a dog does cause a nuisance or you arrive without pre-booking a dog we reserve the right to ask that you take your dog to a local kennel. At the time of booking and at arrival on the site, your dogs must be reported.
There is a £20 surcharge applicable per dog per visit.
