Back in the days when I had my own video shop I was thefirst person in Gwynedd to be offered a karaoke machine but the deal fell through. I could have made a fortune!

What’s the best thing about your job?

Meeting people from all over the world and discovering that we are so alike in many ways and forms. Discovering that their mines and working practices are often very similar to what we have here in Blaenau Ffestiniog. Just last week I have met people from Canada, India, Chicago and even as far as Anglesey!
